About the Job
You will oversee quality control and assurance for perishables and fresh fruits across domestic locations. Additionally, you will manage ripening and storage processes while supporting day-to-day facility operations.
Overview
If you’re a self-starter with strong business acumen and a proactive mindset, this role is for you. You’ll take charge of end-to-end quality operations, oversee product inspections, ensure compliance with quality standards and coordinate with vendors to maintain accurate and timely quality processes.
Responsibilities
- Manage arrival, storage, inventory & ageing records, support distribution activities
- QC sampling on arrival, of inventory, and pre-dispatch goods
- Ripening process management as appropriate
- Ensure all statutory compliances and maintain proper records
- Ensure safe and hygienic practices at the facility
- Good and effective labour management for smooth operations
- Prompt and regular reporting and MIS
- Coordinate and follow up for continuous infrastructure and process improvements
- Face customer and internal audits and follow through on the implementation of observations
- Timely escalation of issues
Requirements & Skills
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: BSc Agriculture / MBA (Agri)
- Industry Experience: At least 2 years in fresh produce will be preferred
Technical Expertise:
- Technical Expertise: Proficient in MS Office
- Analytical Skills: Self-learner and motivated. Should be ready to learn on the job
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in day-to-day work
Soft Skills:
- Process Excellence: Meticulous and well organized. Should be able to coordinate and manage parallel activities
- Entrepreneurial Mindset: Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple tasks independently
